Small collection of PC Zombie Games that everyone with a PC and a Steam account should get into playing.
4) Plants vs Zombie
Cute, fun and addicting pretty much some up this PC ZOMBIE GAME. Zombies are invading your backyard and nothing stands in their way other than Crazy Dave and a whack of Plants and mushrooms. This game is dead simple to learn but still is enough of a challenge that adult gamers will get a kick out of it.
3) Dayz Mod for Arama 2
OK this game is HARD. I would consider my self a pretty decent first person shooter but all those skills are worthless in a game like this. It’s all about surviving in a zombie apocalypse, shooting is just a minor part of it. Imagine waking up on a beach of a Massive island with a can of beans, flashlight, some bandages and a canteen. You hear some noise coming from the bush about 15 metres away. You move in to investigate…. BAM zombie lunges at you. In an attempt to melee attack it you press the alt button on the mouse.. Damnit this isn’t Left For Dead you have no melee attack. You decide to run along the beach with the zombie close behind. Finally after a couple minutes you find an abandoned car and hop in. Hours past and it’s now dark outside, the zombie appears to have wandered off. You notice a helicopter patrolling the beach is it bandits or help?
Playing the game really feels like you are in a zombie infected world and it’s great just be prepared to Die a lot.

2) Walking Dead
Walking Dead is by far the simplest of the bunch in terms of “game play” but what it does bring to the table is the best story in a Zombie PC Game to date. Trust me this game is the real deal any zombie fan has to give it a try. No game has captured my emotions and shit on it more than this one.
Recently Walking Dead had been awarded Best Game of 2012 From the Game reviewer Jim Sterling.
1) Left 4 Dead
Of course this game will be on the list it’s spectacular. All PC Zombie games strive to be as much Fun as Valves venerable Zombie Shooter. The Walking Dead almost beat L4D but when it comes down to it I had more fun playing L4D.
*Most anticipated PC ZOMBIE GAME = DayZ Standalone The Dayz Standalone was suppose to come out in 2012 but has been pushed into 2013.
The Main developer posted this on Reddit about missing the DEC 2012 release date.
I know I have been very quiet lately. So this will be really all I’ll say for the moment.
I’ve been pretty depressed about the whole situation. From a personal standpoint, this whole “saga” of the development made me seriously question if I wanted to be involved in the industry and I gave serious thought to cutting my losses and not being involved in the project.
At my Army Discharge medical this week, they noted I now have high blood pressure. Some things in life just aren’t worth worrying about.
I’ve been getting hammered by a massive amount with requests for information about DayZ release, interviews and my reactions to this and stuff and such – but for my own sanity I retreated and have kept to myself. Right now I’m just at home doing bits and pieces on the DayZ development. The rest of the DayZ team is doing the same.
I realize that I went back on my word about releasing an update, but went back into my shell for a bit last week, and I’ll come out when the dust is all settled.
If you want to follow along with the news of the Dayz Standalone project there is a forum with a active discussion.
I absolutely love this game and subsequently find a way to include it in everyone of my PC Zombie Game Lists even though it’s not Technically a “Zombie” game.
With the exception of Left 4 Dead I’ve played Killing Floor more than any other game on this list. Now it’s a great game.. super in fact but it’s not quiet a ZOMBIE GAME and therefore wouldn’t be fair to put on this list. The majority of the creatures you battle are not zombies they are a collection of scientific experiments gone wrong. One more thing to note about Killing Floor is that the Dev’s still actively produce content for it. Christmas and Halloween always get special events.
Do you ever get the feeling that zombies could be lurking around the next corner or you want to be prepared for the imminent zombie apocalypse? Sure you could live in a bunker or an impenetrable fortress for years but eventually your going to run out of food and have to start scavenging. You could grow your own food, but who knows what the zombie apocalypse will bring with it. You could be in for a surprise when your chickens die and your plants wilt and turn brown. Canned goods might be your only option in a zombie apocalypse. Regardless of how you plan on making it through those tough times, a safe house could make the difference between survival and zombie chow.
The Zombie Safe house Competition showcases the best safe house ideas from hundreds of entries. Judges had to go over 220 amazing entries to pick the ones that they liked the best. Check out all of the entries. http://zombiesafehouse.wordpress.com/2011-vote/. The competition has run for 2 years let hope they do it again in 2012.
When it comes to portability Austin Fleming’s safe house “Vagabond” is perfect if you plan to scavenge supplies and bring them back to your safe house. Killing a few zombies along the way of course. It has camouflage technology to blend in with any surrounding, water filtration and a ventilation system to keep you alive until the zombies move on. .
There are loads of great safe house ideas out there, mine is always changing. Ultimately you have to make the most of your situation, and learn to adapt. Not everyone will have an ideal safe house, you could end up in an apartment building, warehouse, school, mall… anywhere really. Wherever you end up make sure you have lots of weapons with ya.
