Low Budget Fun “Kurt Josef Wagle And The Legend of the Fjord Witch”

Teaser Trailer for Tommy Wirkola’s new Zero Budeget horror film has come out. If you remember Mr Wirkola’s was the director of acclaimed Nazi Zombie Movie Dead Snow, which I highly recommended earlier. Keeping with the quirky themes of the director Kurt Josef Wagle and the Legend of the Fjord Witch appears to be as funny as Dead Snow was, of course we don’t have a clue what they are saying but the visual gags are pretty hilarious. This isn’t a Zombie Movie but I thought I would give it a little post seeing as I enjoyed Dead Snow so much.
The Legend of the Fjord Witch is a cinéma-vérité flick and Wirkola doesn’t hold back his jabs at successful American productions like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. Unfortunately the Trailer is in Norwegian so if anyone out there wants to translate we can all understand what the fuck they are saying. The film is slated for a May Norwegian release.

Dead Snow is a Norwegian comedy Zombie film, starring, Charlotte Frogner, Stig Frode Henriksen, Bjørn Sundquist, Ane Dahl Torp and Jenny Skavlan. It is directed by Tommy Wirkola. Dead Snow is about a group of students going to a remote cabin in the Norwegian countryside. They are planning on staying at a old cabin, there area around them happens to be a Nazi stronghold during World War II. Eventually some old creepy dude (AKA Local Hiker) is encountered and he tells them all about the horrible NAZI past the area had and how a the old Nazi commander was cursed and evil. Later that night the Nazi soldiers and their commander start rising from the dead and attack the Students. Everyone ends up getting butchered in some horrible way. This is a Funny Zombie Movie with plenty of gore, It’s like dead alive and evil dead but not quite as EPIC.The Norwegian girls are hot the movie is funny.. All in All fucking awesome.
Dead Snow has just recently been released on Amazon. The two-disc DVD includes the movie on one disc and extras on the other.
This is what Amazon had to say about it
“Nazi zombies.” Let us add two more: “Hitler’s gold.” Yes, it’s true. These are the elements of Dead Snow, a Norwegian horror picture that unleashes an undead blitzkrieg across an otherwise inviting winter landscape. The five vacationing med students who have blundered into this backcountry in search of fun have no idea that their actions will draw the attention of the aforesaid zombies of the Third Reich (what these reanimated corpses are doing in the mountains of Norway will be explained in good time). It would be nice to report that Dead Snow lives up to the outrageousness of its concept, but far too much of this thing is taken up with standard-issue slasher tropes: self-conscious dialogue about the plot’s resemblance to an Evil Dead scenario, gross-out moments for their own sake (a sequence in an outhouse is especially regrettable), and decidedly uneven acting. The movie earns a few points for a grabby nighttime opening sequence and its unhealthy devotion to the art of entrails stretching (which, when it comes to people hanging off snowy cliffs, can have practical applications you probably never even thought about). The enthusiastic mayhem can’t be denied, so if a sheer body count is your yardstick, Dead Snow comes across. But given the proximity of Nazi gold and the possibilities suggested by Hitler’s minions returning from their snowy graves, this movie disappoints.
